Located in the Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta, Georgia, Operation PEACE, a 501c3 non-profit, has dedicated itself to fostering academic excellence and leadership skills in youth since 1995. Founded by Edna Moffett and 25 college students, it began as a modest philanthropic effort to provide after-school programming for children in the Bedford Pines Community. Recognizing the significant impact on the community, PEACE expanded its operations to meet the growing demand for assistance, serving over 600 families. Our after-school and summer programs offer a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential, making a lasting impact on their lives. Enroll today.
The Summer Academy is a dynamic extension of our after-school program, running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for eight weeks. It combines academic enrichment in reading, math, and science with fun activities like arts & crafts, dance, and yoga. Participants receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack, with transportation provided to and from the program site. To qualify, students must meet criteria including regular school attendance, model behavior, and their parents’ completion of a five-hour community service requirement.
